The CTShowcase project built strategic alliances with Chambers of Commerce, U.S. SBA, SCORE, federal and state agencies and several corporate entities.  Other core partners included the U.S. Postal Service, Connecticut Minority Supplier Development Council and Black Enterprise Magazine.

Harland is an Ambassador For Peace. He has worked with several nationally known speakers such as Andrew Morrison, Lynnette Khalfani-Cox, and George Fraser. He is the recipient of several awards including the 2008 Connecticut Minority Supplier Development Council's Shining Star Award.

“Harland is great at what he does. As a Manager for the Small and Minority Business Services Division, Harland has made a great impact with those he works with. He takes pride in his work, cares about the people and community he serves, and is an excellent mentor and guide to any small business that is seeking to make connections or gain support. His strategic ability to host events and workshops with the right speakers and agenda is excellent. He is creative in his outreach efforts, open to trying new things, and stays in constant communication. What I value most about Harland is his integrity and work ethic. He does what he says he will do and that ranks very high in my book.”

As a small business owner, I will never forget how instrumental the programs that Harland Henry sponsored, when he was with the Office of the Secretary of State (Connecticut), were to providing me with valuable business insights, access to a great network of other small business owners and fresh ideas on how to grow my business.

Harland is a gem, quite the professional and really, really dedicated to helping small businesses be successful!  We miss him, here in Connecticut, and envy anyone who has an opportunity to grow and learn through his recently launched SunBiz Showcase Alliance.
